One of my favorite things about this book is the chemistry between Tori & Case. It’s a closeness developed from growing up together and their relationship changing through the years that makes it so explosive when they reconnect years later.

Here’s a sneak peek inside. This is from chapter 6 and is from Case’s POV.

“What do you want, Tori? Why did you come here?”

She takes a step closer and my clenching jaw is the only evidence of my reaction to having her within arm’s reach. “Are we over, Case? Have I completely destroyed what we once had?”
Her question irritates me. She’s making it seem like I had a choice. I had none. “I’ll ask again. What do you want, Tori?”

She places her hand on my chest. I feel her touch clear down to my heart. I want to brush her hand off, but nothing has changed for me. I am just as affected by her as I ever was, but I know I can’t give her what she wants. To do that would be opening myself up to heartache and doubt. I cover her hand with mine as I wait for her reply.

She looks up at me with those gorgeous brown eyes. “I don’t know, but I need to. We were deeply in love once. We had our future together mapped out before things went horribly off-track. I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything and I hate that it’s taken this long to tell you that.”

I allow myself the pleasure of running my thumb down her creamy smooth cheek. She shudders and I remember so many things. I see it in her eyes; she’s remembering too. A flood of emotions threatens to overtake me. We’re frozen in time, in the moment, wanting each other yet remembering too much.

“God, you drive me fuxxing crazy,” I mutter as her lips curl up into a sexy, knowing smile. She leans in and I kiss a spot on her lower cheek that always causes her breath to catch. I am not disappointed when a breathy sound drifts over my ear. The chemistry between us was always explosive. I’ve never found anything even remotely as fulfilling as being with Tori.

I’d like to hear from you for today’s #ThrowbackThursday. Let’s take a look back through all my books and I’d love to know what some of your favorite scenes are from my books and why?

I grin and giggle every time I think about the scene where Kimberly meets Henrietta in #GoingAllInn. I had no idea who or what was hiding in the closet until she opened the door! Was it a bat? Was it a person? Was it a ghost? Nope! It was Henrietta!

There were so many scenes in #SurrenderToLove that I love. Probably the most special was the first time they made love after she’d been captured and abused. I was so worried how this book would be received by you. It’s not a book of pain an suffering, it’s a story of Shayla, a strong survivor who falls madly in love with her friend.

Here’s an unedited excerpt from Chapter 3 and is in Rod’s POV. SETUP: This is the first time they meet face to face and they are walking on the beach at dusk.

A wave washes ashore and covers our bare feet. She grins and says, “You know, I’ve seen you on the ferry several time.”

“I know. I’ve seen you as well.” That was hard to admit.

“It’s just that… I had this crazy idea that when you looked at me, we had a moment. Was it all my imagination?”

I could have denied knowing what she was talking about but I didn’t. “It’s not crazy. I felt it.”

We walked along quietly for long easy minutes before she said, “Good.”

Without words we turned and headed back towards Blakes house. This woman mystifies me. “Do you think I’m old?” I wish those words hadn’t erupted from my mouth.

“As opposed to what? Dirt?” she replies with a chuckle.

I have no idea how to reply to that. I decide to be straight forward. “Do you think I’m too old for you. Hypothetically.” I’m smart enough to tack that last word on as a disclaimer or sorts.

“Is this a roundabout way to get me to admit that I find you attractive? Does your ego need stroking?”

I really wish she hadn’t used that word. Now I’m thinking about something I’d like her to stroke. “No. I just want to know if I have a chance. With you.” I can’t be any clearer than that. I’m so outside my comfort zone I’m in a totally new area code.

“So you want to know if I would ever go out with someone of your dottering age? Which is…”

I wince and say, “Forty-six.”

Happy Monday!The first Monday of the new year. I’ve sent time this morning reflecting on 2021. What did I accomplish?

1. I started a multi author series, The Love Vixen
2. I released Let’s Talk Love in January.
3. In February I released Undeniably His, the 5th release in the Royal Heir series.
4. Started a new series and released Going All Inn the first book in the Faire Island series in May
5. Released book 2 in the Faire Island Series, Love Over Easy in September
6. Release the 6th book in the Royal Heir Series, Tempting Fate in October
7. In December I ended the Love Vixen series with My Bet’s On Love.
8. Of course there were lots of FB Lives with authors and games.
9. I tried to keep up with FB, IG and TikTok posts. Let’s face it, this group is where I spend all my time.
10. And I found lots of new reader friends! YAY!!!!

So it’s no wonder I needed to take December off to regroup and plan out my 2022. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far, but is subject to change…

3. I plan a 3 book series that will be released close together. Probably July, July and Aug. Each will be a complete story but will focus on different happenings in their lives. More info to come.
4. I plan on releasing another Faire Island Brides book but not sure yet which one. Probably in Oct.
5. And another Royal Heir book to come in 2022. Probably in November
6. And if I can work it in, I’d love to write a holiday book for December. It will be in the world of one of my series. Maybe a side character that I need to go back and write a story for. If you have any requests let me know.
